Lyndhurst – Tankerton

In the heart of Whitstable

Lyndhurst is situated along the Marine Parade overlooking the Tankerton Bay in the South East of England, in the traditional and cultural town of Whitstable.

Its excellent location sources picturesque views of the sea coinciding with its rich maritime history. To the West of Lyndhurst, approximately 3 minutes away lies the grand Whistable Castle and Brecon House.

Furtherdown the same direction approximately 5 minutes away lies the Whitstable Yacht Club and Seafront.

Whitstable sits approximately 5 miles North of Canterbury, and 2 miles West of Herne Bay. The beautiful town is well known for its Oyster Festival and Harbour.

The magnificent Lyndhurst has been owned since 1991 by the current proprietor, presenting one of the initial residential homes within the group.

At Oasis Care Group which incorporates Lyndhurst, High Pines, and Saxon Lodge, we aim to enrich the lives of our residents; putting person centered care at the heart of everything we do.

We strive to meet the core values of promoting independence, choice, respecting privacy and dignity to fulfil the needs of the residents.

Lyndhurst developments

The care home originally had 11 beds, which was then transformed in 2005 to 22 beds and the first lift was installed. Following on, a purpose built development was completed in 2011, where the structure of the care home was re designed to 44 beds, and a second lift was installed, more ensuite rooms were added and a stimulating garden setting created.
