The festive season was a truly magical time at High Pines Residential Home, with a series of memorable events that brought joy, laughter, and a sense of togetherness to our residents and visitors.
A Special Visit from Mr. Banks, the Therapy Donkey
On 16th December, we had an extraordinary visit from the charming Mr. Banks, the Therapy Donkey, accompanied by his owner, Joy. Seeing a donkey stroll into our home was a delightful surprise, and having him dressed in his adorable Santa outfit made it even more special. Residents and visitors enjoyed feeding Mr. Banks his favourite treat—sliced carrots—and sharing this unique Christmas moment together.
Residents’ Christmas Party
The celebrations continued on 17th December with our annual Residents’ Christmas Party. The talented Geoff Dean wowed everyone with his festive lights and music, creating a lively and cheerful atmosphere. Guests also enjoyed a decadent buffet and participated in a Grand Raffle, making it a day to remember!
A Rockin’ New Year’s Eve
We wrapped up the year on 31st December with a fantastic New Year’s Eve afternoon party. The highlight of the event was a performance by the incredible Lee Patrick, better known as ELVIS! His amazing voice and charisma had everyone singing along, creating the perfect send-off for 2024 and a warm welcome to the New Year.
