December is always a magical time at Lyndhurst, and this year is no exception. Throughout the month, residents will be enjoying a wide range of festive activities, entertainment, and seasonal treats, all designed to bring warmth, joy, and togetherness during the Christmas period.
Getting into the Christmas Spirit
We begin the month by decorating together, followed by cosy musical moments, quizzes, games, and creative activities. Residents can enjoy favourites such as bingo, word games, newspaper club, and Christmas card making, alongside pampering sessions including manicures, massages, and hairdresser visits.
Our Christmas cake icing and decorating session is always a highlight, as residents get hands-on creating festive bakes, while the Namaste Spa offers a chance to relax and unwind during the busy season.
Special Visits and Festive Entertainment
We’re delighted to welcome Swalecliffe Primary School once again for a special visit and carol singing session, bringing generations together to share the festive spirit.
Throughout the month, residents will enjoy a variety of live entertainment, including performances from Holtwood with Rod & Brad, a cosy couch concert, and musical afternoons filled with favourite songs requested during our Jukebox Call-Out sessions.
Christmas Week Celebrations
As Christmas approaches, activities turn even more festive with gift wrapping, Christmas art workshops, and a Christmas lights tour. On Christmas Eve, residents can enjoy entertainment in both lounges, along with table centrepiece activities.
Christmas Day itself is a special occasion, filled with presents, cards, drinks, and festive treats shared together. The celebrations continue through Boxing Day with a relaxing Christmas matinee.
Rounding Off the Year
The final days of December bring more fun, including snowball netball, quizzes with treats, and New Year’s horoscope predictions. We finish the year in style with an end-of-year party featuring live music from the “Country Blues” Band.
December at Lyndhurst is all about connection, celebration, and creating meaningful moments together. We look forward to sharing many of these special memories with you.
